Wedding Dress

So....it took me a while to make this.    I'll upload a frontal shot as soon as i pick my favorite picture....top right is a close-up of the peacock, bottom right, close-up of the "feathers", and bottom left is a detail shot of the sash on the front.

I sadly do not have an exact hour count, I was working on it constantly for about 18 months, but it was probably close to 20-30 hours a week.  Actually, I finished it about 1 month before the wedding.

I can tell you, however, that 78 bags of Doritos and 361 pixie stix were consumed in the making of this dress...with my now-husband generously feeding me so I could keep my hands free for sewing.

Every single, bead, sequin, and piece of braid were hand sewn on this dress, and the design/pattern were of my own invention.  It is (sort-of) based off of a traditional Tai wedding dress.

I also made my own tiara and hair ornaments, and my shoes...which I literally finished, on the plane, flying out to NC to get married.  Pics to follow!
