*grins* based off of an awesome renaissance chestplate I saw...came out as a blend between Star Wars, Medieval, and Steampunk...Enjoy!

Approx design/draw/color time = 1 hour

for those of you that are wondering, there is no flack vest. its all leather straps (dark brown, not black) that are attached to the plates. and the kama is chain mail, hence the suspender-style straps on the armor, for extra support.

EDIT: This design is up for grabs if anyone wants to take a shot at making it.

I'm glad you said that the design is up for grabs, I'm TOTALLY using the chestplate design, and probably the color scheme too!

Just realized (either by my laziness or by the fact that I was inattentive) who you are, which makes it all the more entertaining.

I hope I'll see you around trooping sometime, once my armor's set. Just got my helmet done, but I'm thinking this scheme will be for my second set of Armor.

(Planning on joining Mercs myself, Skirata.)

Love the chain mail kama. In the beginning stages of my kit, I thought about making a similar style out of soda tabs, seeing as I have many. Perhaps I could sew them to a cloth kama base. Well, I thought better or it, if only for the non SW look it would have. It would look cheap maybe too. Anyway! Great job!

Thank you! Actually, I saw a VERY neat bracelet the other day, which I thought was chain mail, and turned out to be overlapping pop tabs and leather cord. So it probably could be done if you wove them together ;)

I just might try it then, if only for the sake of trying. I have crocheted such things together... but I doubt that and Mando wants to wear something his granny knitted.

Kan-friggin-dosii indeed ner'vod!

I was wanting to do a custom Mando that was Medieval inspired... But I went more crusader like and added a tabard over the plates, which is too jedi like in the end..

I may steal/appropriate/borrow/cannabalize this pic for inspiration on my own, when I have the resource and time to upgrade from pure jango plates.
